Netiquette
Netiquette is a term coined to describe the guidelines governing internet communication, combing the word “etiquette” and “network.” It governs communication via email, discussions online, and essentially all forms of internet communication.
Netiquette means using the same ethical values and standards applicable to the rest of people’s lives.
It aims to promote respect, civil exchange of ideas, freedom from exploitation or deceit, legality, and transparency, .
Users of the internet must accept responsibility for participating ethically and responsibly in all exchanges, respecting the dignity of of all citizens on the internet.

SOCIAL NETWORKING & CYBERBULLYING: The use of social networking and the possibility of cyberbullying present challenges for educators, as much of these behaviors occur off campus and not under the direct supervision of the school district. Schools can and should educate students to the harmful and dangerous effects of bullying via technology. Schools have been able to create policy that allows them to intervene with students who cyberbully if the impact of that bullying intrudes into the school day and interrupts the safe learning environment and student sense of safety. School have also found themselves in the position of needing to help parents understand their role in monitoring their student’s use of technology.
